Punjab Government Making Sugar Sale Points in Lahore City

Punjab Government finally decided to establish various sugar sale points across the entire city of Lahore. The decision is made because of ever growing sugar prices. Sugar mafia is certainly out of the control of Government now.

Punjab Govt developing more than one hundred sugar sale points at different areas of the provincial capital to provide the sugar to general public at notified rates. The program is decided to set up as soon as possible during the holy month of Ramzan. The notified price of sugar at these sugar sale points is Rs. 85/kg.

Punjab Govt has imposed heavy fines to shopkeepers for selling sugar at rate higher than the official rate. Different grocery stores and a department store have been sealed up by Govt for selling sugar at un official higher rate.

To facilitate the general public at large during the holy month of Ramzan the Commissioner of Lahore has ordered concerned officials to strictly control the price of sugar in the entire city. For the purpose of controlling the price of sugar Lahore Administration has imposed more than 1 lac 50 thousand fine to various shopkeepers.
